Adventures by Disney Adds More Family Expedition Cruises for 2023 – One with a Special Guest!
Ready to take on the ultimate family vacation?! Then, I have just the thing! Adventures by Disney has just announced a family expedition cruise to the Arctic as well as adding even more chances for family adventures in Antarctica and the Galapagos Islands in 2023!
With these expedition cruises, Adventures by Disney gives families the opportunity of a lifetime to explore pristine natural wonders and diverse wildlife. Accommodations include “intimate, purpose-built ships that are specially designed to access remote destinations.”

In addition, all of these expeditions include a team of expert naturalists and Adventure Guides that bring the stories and cultures of these regions to life. And, while at the destination, a variety of excursions are available that cater to every member of the family.
Adventures by Disney Expedition Cruises to the Arctic
All new for 2023 is the Adventures by Disney Family Expedition Cruises to the Arctic. For these unique adventures, Adventures by Disney has teams with PONANT, a leader in luxury polar expeditions.
Guests can choose from one of two scheduled departures in June or July 2023 that include 10-day, 9-night itineraries going to the northern Arctic to discover distinctive landscapes and unique wildlife.

PONAT’s Le Boreal will explore the northern Arctic with stop in Longyearbyen – the largest two in Norway’s Svalbard archipelago. Longyearbyen has bragging rights as the world’s most northernmost settlement that has a population of 1,000 and offers views of the region’s jaw dropping glaciers. Also, Guests will be in awe of the majestic Kongsfjorden fjord.
One of my favorite parts of this itinerary, is the daily boat excursions with opportunities to spot everything from polar bears and reindeer to arctic foxes and walruses.

Now for that special Guest! All of those on the Adventures by Disney Expedition Cruise to the Arctic in July will be joined by the legendary Joe Rhode! Guests are invited to learn about Rhode’s Disney career and share his passion for nature and conservation. In addition, Rhode will be offering interactive sketching sessions for all Guests onboard!
Expeditions to Antarctica and Patagonia
The next Adventures by Disney Expedition Cruise takes us to the southernmost part of the world – Antarctica with three new departure dates just added for late 2022 and early 2023.

Guests on these adventures will travel to the resort town of Ushuaia, located on the southernmost tip of Argentine Patagoina, to enjoy some per-adventure magic before boarding the vessel to sail through the Drake Passage on a 12-day, 11-night Antarctica and Patagonia Expedition Cruise.
During the sailing, Guests will experience the breathtaking landscapes of Antarctica with daily boat excursions and hikes on the shorelines of Antarctica. This gives the perfect opportunity to catch sights of the local wildlife including whales, seabirds, penguins, and seals while in their natural habitats.

For some extra adventure, Guests can add on the 4-day, 3-night Buenos Aries Escape to their sailing for a once-in-a-lifetime chance to learn the Tango or channel their inner cowboy while exploring the cosmopolitan culture of the famed city.
Adventures by Disney Expedition Cruises in the Galapagos Islands
This adventure invites Guests to board the Galapagos Legend on a 9-day, 8-night sailing to explore the diverse islands and ecosystems of the Galapagos Islands.

Five new sail dates have been added offering the opportunity to explore the area’s spectacular vistas along with unique plan and animal species. Other highlights of this expedition cruise include snorkeling in turquoise waters inhabited by sea lions, reef fish and sea turtles; hiking excursions on a variety of terrain; and paddling in kayaks alongside sheltered coves.
For added adventure, be sure to add on the Adventures by Disney Amazon Escape for a chance to spend a night in Quito followed by three of four nights on the Anakonda River Boat exploring the Amazon up close. As part of this Escape, Guests will also traverse the Napo River in a motorized canoe on the hunt for the elusive pink river dolphin! This Escape also includes a guided nocturnal rain forest walk to see firsthand animals that would be hidden during the daylight.
