New Encanto Posters Debut on Twitter
With only mere weeks left until the theatrical release of Disney’s new animated feature, Encanto, brand new posters have been released to amp up anticipation for the upcoming movie.
The movie follows Mirabel, a Colombian teenager who is the only member of her family without any magical powers who is destined to save her family and house when their magic begins to disappear.

Stephanie Beatriz brings Mirabel to life, with previous roles such as General Sweet Mayhem in The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part and Detective Rosa Diaz in Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Character posters were released for each member of Mirabel’s family that shines a light on their powers, including Luisa, seen below, who has superhuman strength.

Isabella can make flowers bloom anywhere and everywhere, and will be voiced by Diane Guerrero, best known for her role in Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black.

Other notable cast members include John Leguizamo, Wilmer Valderrama, and Maluma.

Above we can see Pepa, who has the ability to control the weather, and Félix, whose power is currently unknown.
Below is Dolores, who has enhanced hearing and therefore knows everyone’s secrets.

Camilo has the ability to shapeshift and is voiced by Rhenzy Feliz who also appears in Marvel’s Runaways.

Abuela is one of the other few characters whose magic power has not been revealed quite yet.

The final of the posters revealed on Twitter this morning is this ominous, boarded-up door that is drained of color and magic.
The door belongs to Bruno, Mirabel’s excluded uncle who can see the future.

Encanto is directed by Byron Howard and Jared Bush, with a musical score composed by Lin-Manuel Miranda, who, of course, composed Moana and the Broadway success, Hamilton.
The film will mark the 60th animated feature from Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, watch the official trailer below!
