Cheshire Cat Gets a New Perch at Magic Kingdom
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog you’ll know that we were at the Magic Kingdom yesterday for the last Boo Bash. While there we popped over to Mad Tea Party and noticed that the Cheshire Cat Fab 50 statue has been given a wee makeover.
With his pink and purple stripes, we all know that the Cheshire Cat is the pinnacle of style. Though we love that his Fab 50 statue was placed among the tree branches in Fantasyland, we didn’t necessarily love the fabric placed over his stand (underneath.)
I guess Disney felt the same way for when we visited yesterday something was new!
As you can see, Cheshire Cat can still relax and ponder in the trees but now he has an iridescent cloth underneath.
This new addition is less monochromatic and more in keeping with the EARidescent colorway of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebration.
It features slightly metallic hues of pink, peach and purple.
We think they compliment this golden statue perfectly.
It also allows us to see the “50” emblem a bit more clearly.
We think Cheshire Cat looks positively purrrrfect. If you ask us, we think his smile is a little bit wider after this much-needed change.
