Approval is Possible Today
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) may authorize Pfizer-BioNTech’s coronavirus vaccine for emergency use in children in a few hours. It may be approved for children, ages five to 11 years old, today…Friday, October 29, 2021.
Millions of families are eagerly awaiting this vaccine to provide their children some protection. Also, the vaccine for children causes some families to travel more.
Approximately 28 million children are eligible to obtain one-third of the adult dosage. The vaccination requires two injections, three weeks apart.
Assuming approval from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), children could get shots as early as Wednesday. President Joe Biden promises that children’s shots will be easily accessible at various locations throughout communities.
When Could it be Here?
Fifteen million doses are ready for immediate shipment. Children’s doses are arriving just in time for the holidays, which provides added comfort for those families with a booked Disney vacation.
Of course, the vaccinations are free to everyone. Also, school nurses, churches, and local health officials are important individuals and agencies for reaching families without insurance or pediatricians.
How Many Families Will Vaccinate?
Accordingly, a survey from the Kaiser Family Foundation revealed 27 percent of families of five- to 11-year-olds plan to vaccinate their children immediately. Another 33 percent will wait and determine the rollout.
