Will Poulter Finally Speaks on MCU Casting
One of the most anticipated Marvel films of the revered Phase Four, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 made a major addition to the cast prior to the start of filming, following the rumors, Will Poulter finally speaks on the MCU casting.
One of the MCU’s pinnacle franchises, Guardians of the Galaxy has been one of the most beloved series, with some of the most beloved characters, that Marvel has to offer.
The James Gunn helmed series is about to embark on the final entry into its MCU trilogy and is rounding up a cast capable of carrying what is sure to be an emotional finale.
The major addition that has been rumored, ad later confirmed, is young actor Will Poulter being tasked to play Adam Warlock in the upcoming trilogy film.
After the actor was sure to keep the role under wraps, he finally spoke on the casting while at the London Film Festival red carpet.
ComicBook.com recorded the quick interview where Poulter stated, “I feel very, very lucky and honored to have been welcomed into the Marvel family, Particularly in a franchise like Guardians of the Galaxy, which I regard to be incredibly creative and very, very unique.”

Poulter continued, “James Gunn is someone I really, really admire so I feel very lucky.”
One of the trademarks of Marvel actors is their incredible physical transformation; when Poulter was asked about his superhero body, Poulter stated, “I better get ready, I guess. I better get ready, but I’m working on it.”
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is on schedule, and headed for its May 5th, 2023 release date; with James Gunn tweeting that the film is, “scripted & storyboarded, crewed & casted, & READY TO GO in just a little bit here.”
Adam Warlock should have a fairly large role in the upcoming film; teased in the final moments of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the character is one of Marvel comics most important cosmic heroes.
Bred to be the perfect image of humanity, Warlock has wielded the Infinity Gauntlet and has been both hero and villain during his time in the comics.
As Will Poulter finally speaks on the MCU casting and notes his admiration for James Gunn, we know It will be interesting to see how the director will tell the story of Adam Warlock, and we certainly cannot wait!
