Empire Exclusive Gives Sneak Peek at Who We Could See In ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’
With Marvel Eternals just a few weeks away, and Hawkeyes two-episode premiere following soon after, we may now have a better look at who could appear in the MCU’s most anticipated film to date as an Empire exclusive gives a sneak peek at who we could see in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
The final installment of the Peter Parkers MCU trilogy is coming to audiences this December, and the film carries with it years’ worth of fan theories and speculation.
Fans have consistently questioned what we could see out of the third MCU Spider-Man film, with the events of Loki breaking open the multiverse, excitement has been palpable as the potential for a Spider-Verse film grew greater by the day.
With the first trailer finally arriving, fans were given the first official look at the film and were also given the first sense of which theories ended up making their way into the actual film.
It appears now we have an even greater look at what the film could show us as an Empire exclusive gives a sneak peek at who could be in Spider-Man: No Way Home via their brand new cover art.
Hidden among the minimalistic mosaic are clues as to who we could see and the exciting adventure that awaits fans in this next Peter Parker adventure.
So whose presence is teased in this clue-riddled cover art? let’s find out!
Doctor Strange
Within the trailer, we can see that Spider-Man will be sharing the screen with one of his fellow Avengers, and Doctor Strange is playing a huge role in the newest MCU Peter Parker story.
Benedict Cumberbatch has brought the character to life in several MCU projects up to this point and will work alongside Peter to give him aid in his fight against both the by-product of Mysterio’s revealing his secret identity concluding Spider-Man: Far From Home, and the multiversal collapse.
Doctor Octopus
Maybe the most obvious teased appearance belongs to a character who has already been confirmed to appear in the film; that being Alfred Molinas Doctor Octopus, whose tentacles can be seen multiple times on the cover.
Doc Oc is an iconic Spider-Man villain, and was incredibly brought to life in the incredible Spider-Man 2; with the character returning hinting at the multiversal implications of the film itself.
Green Goblin
The second most obvious depiction is that of Green Goblin, whose famous pumpkin bomb can be seen both on the Empire cover, and in the most recent No Way Home trailer.
Played by the legendary Willem Dafoe, Green Goblin is perhaps the first, true, villain of the superhero film genre; he was menacing, complex, and incredibly vivid, and was yet another result of Sam Raimi’s brilliant Spider-Man trilogy.
Sandman
One of the more interesting, and newsworthy appearances on the Empire cover is the iconic Spider-man Villain known as Sandman; who is teased through the presence of a very sandy fist.
Sandman made an appearance in the often maligned Spider-Man 3, and was played brilliantly by Thomas Haden Church; many fans have been clamoring for this return following a lack of closure to his brilliant performance.
Electro
Now, this is where we get into the more hidden teases, and that’s for Spider-Man villain Electro, who fans can see in the little lighting bolt within a green square.
Played by Jaime Foxx in the Sony helmed Amazing Spider-Man 2, electro is one of Spider-Man’s most memorable villains, mostly for the nature of his wild costume design and lighting bolt headpiece; which just so happens to be green and yellow.
Mysterio
Something that we’ve theorized since the first trailer debuted, the return of Mysterio just feels likely at this point, and is theorized by Empire through the little marble Mysterio head hidden under the Empire logo.
Whether it Quentin Beck in the fishbowl head or not, it seems like any MCU incarnation of the Sinister Six would have to include the now Iconic MCU villain; done wonderfully by Jake Gyllenhaal, yet brought to life by a team of engineers all well versed in the former Stark Industries Technology.
Multiversal Spider-Men?
The final tease in the cover seems to be what can only be described as the centerpiece of the entire work, that being Spider-Man himself; something that is likely to be in the movie, considering that Andrew Garfield leaked scene was proven to be real.
In the center, fans can see multiple Spider-Man heads all falling out of one another in a circular fashion; although this could be an illustrated example of one of Doctor Strange’s powers in action, it could very well tease the presence of Multiple Spider-Men in the newest Peter Parker MCU adventure.
