Say Hello to The Legacy Collection Camp Shirt at the Polynesian Resort
Walt Disney World turned 50 on October 1 and that includes the original resorts that opened alongside it – the Contemporary Resort, the Polynesian Village Resort and the Fort Wilderness Campground.
As part of the 50th celebration, Disney has released the Legacy Collection, a special commemorative collection of merchandise celebrating the 50th anniversary of these three original resorts.
MickeyBlogger Elyssa was at the Polynesian this morning for the unveiling of their new Legacy Collection featuring everyone’s favorite tiki character in his traditional Polynesian setting. One of the stars of this new collection is this new Men’s camp shirt!
The new shirt features an allover print of the Polynesian Tiki God (did you know his name is Maui?), alongside a sketch of the Great Ceremonial House roof and other tiki heads as seen throughout the resort’s signature decor.
The shirt certainly has a tropical vibe with a teal background and bright color scheme of natural orange, tan and green tones. White borders between the prints have a “wave” sort of feel too. It might be called a camp shirt but we feel like it’s definitely an island camp!

Cast Members were happy to show off the new collection this morning, which includes a matching dress, MagicBand, pin, glass, print and kids’ t-shirt.
Fifty years later these three original resorts continue to be favorites for Guests from around the world. We love that Disney is giving them this fun acknowledgement for standing the test of time!
