New and Returning Fan Favorite Entertainment Just Announced for the 2021 Holiday Season at Walt Disney World
It’s that time of the year! A chill is in the air and it’s time to start making plans for the holiday season! And, if you a visit to Walt Disney World is in the plans for the 2021 holiday season, you are in luck as Disney just announced the return of fan favorite entertainment as well as a new offering or two in all four Theme Parks!

Disney Very Merriest After Hours
I just finished writing an article about a new stage show coming to the Magic Kingdom for Disney Very Merriest After Hours. While I didn’t have much information on it at the time – I do now!
The all-new stage show being offered during Disney Very Merriest After Hours on the Cinderella Castle Forecourt Stage will be called “Mickey & Minnie”s Very Merry Memories!” Mickey and his friends are the hosts of the new show that will feature music, dancing, and good ol’ yuletide fun!

This nostalgic show will give a nod to past seasonal stage shows including “Mickey’s Twas the Night Before Christmas,” “Celebrate the Season,” and “Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration.”
The four hours Disney Very Merriest After Hours will kick off at 9 pm on November 8, 2021 and will be offered on select nights through December 21, 2021. (Even though the event starts at 9 pm, your ticket will get you into the Park at 7 pm.)

In addition to lower wait times on your favorite Magic Kingdom attractions, Disney Very Merriest After Hours offers Guests the following:
- The first parade to march down Main Street U.S.A. in the Magic Kingdom will be offered with “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade featuring Santa Claus, his elves, reindeer, and more!
- The skies above the Magic Kingdom and Cinderella Castle will light up with the much-anticipated return of “Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks” featuring fireworks, projections, holiday songs
- Club Tinsel at Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland will be the ‘coolest’ place to get down this holiday season with a live and cherry DJ dance party
- The Reindeer Wranglers will be hoofing it around the streets of Frontierland performing seasonal songs with a little country flair

More Holiday Magic at the Magic Kingdom
If you plan on visiting the Magic Kingdom during the 2021 holiday season but not for Disney Very Merriest After Hours, there is still plenty of magic to be had!

On the evenings that the After Hours events are not being offered, Guests will be treated to a festive, holiday-themed projection show on Cinderella Castle making it the place to take those photos! In between the bursts of holiday magic projected on Cinderella Castle and just for the 50th Anniversary celebrations, the Castle will also turn into a Beacon of Magic that will illuminate the night with an EARidescent glow!
Holiday Favorites Return to Disney’s Animal Kingdom
To celebrate the spirit of nature during the 2021 holiday season at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the popular Merry Menagerie of winter animals will return to Discovery Island. These life-sized, artisan-sculpted puppets in the fashion of reindeer, foxes, polar bears, penguins, and more accompanied by serenading musicians will bring a smile to everyone’s face!

While in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World for the 2021 holiday season, make sure to look to the Discovery River for for Goofy, Chip n’ Dale, and other beloved Disney Characters as they jingle and jangle spreading holiday cheer to all.
Also, make sure to check the park schedule as you are going to want you are at Disney’s Animal Kingdom when the sun goes down because on these special nights, the Tree of Life will awaken “as a series of wintry tales emerge from within, complemented by a familiar and heartwarming holiday-inspired musical score.”

In honor of Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, the Tree of Life will also become a Beacon of Magic when magical fireflies gather to produce a warm glorious light and calling forth the EARidescent magic of nature.

Popular Entertainment Returns to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for the 2021 Holiday Season
I am so excited to announce that Sunset Seasons Greetings is returning to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for the 2021 holiday season! The Sunset Seasons Greetings show is projected onto the the Tower of Terror and will turn this landmark into a Muppets gingerbread masterpiece, a “Toy Story” toy hotel, a snowy corner of Arendelle, and a Dickensian village from “Mickey’s Christmas Carol.”
The Tower of Terror will also be celebrating Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary by also turning into a Beacon of Magic showcasing the golden age of imagination and adventure.

And, what could get be even more excited than Sunset Seasons Greetings returning this holiday season? The return of “For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration” which will feature a cameo by Olaf and some other surprises.
Celebrate the Holidays Around the World at EPCOT
The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays will also be returning to EPCOT for the 2021 holiday season at Walt Disney World. This festival offers Guests the change to experience customary traditions from around the world including music, dancing, and storytelling. Oh, and did I mention the food?

This year’s Festival begins on November 26, 2021 and will be offered through December 30, 2021.
Santa Claus is Coming to Walt Disney World for the 2021 Holiday Season
Guests visiting Walt Disney World for the 2021 holiday season will have several opportunities to catch a look at the big man of the season, Santa Clause!
At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Guests can spot Santa cruising down Hollywood Blvd. in his cherry-apple red convertible during the Santa Claus Merry Motorcade.
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, Guests can catch a glimpse of Santa cruising down the Discovery River in a festive flotilla.
Santa Claus will also be making appearances at the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney Springs where Guests will have a few moments to themselves to say hello and share their wishes for the seasons.
The Christmas Tree Stroll and More Returns to Disney Springs
As always, there’s plenty of holiday magic to be had at Disney Springs during the 2021 holiday season!
The Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll will be returning to Disney Springs this year giving Guests the opportunity to view elaborately decorated Disney-inspired Christmas Trees all around the shopping, dining, and entertainment complex. Guest can expect to see a different Disney character, story, or celebration featured on the various sparkling trees.
Guests visiting Disney Springs for the 2021 holiday season can also expect live holiday entertainment that will add some extra joy to holiday shopping.

Each evening in Town Center, Guests are invited to close their eyes and pretend that have been transported to a winter wonderland as snow falls all around them.

And, to finish the day of magic, make sure to stop by Jock Lindsay’s Holiday Bar for some festive food and craft cocktails all while enjoying the holiday transformation of the popular Disney Springs watering hole. And, not too worry – there’s something on the menu for Guests of all ages!’
