D23’s Genie Launch Day Experience Sold Out and Fast
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog you’ll know that D23, Disney’s Official Fan Club has invited D23 Gold Members to be among the first to experience the new Disney Genie, Disney Genie+ and Lightning Lane Entrances.
The Launch Day Experience is going to be held on October 19, 2021 with tickets going on sale this afternoon (October 14th) at 1pm.
Our MickeyBlogger Greg who is a D23 member logged on right at 1pm today and managed to go through the process of registering for the event.
We expected this event to be a hot ticket given that Disney World is giving D23 members access to experience Genie+ for free (the service is usually $15 per person per day.
When Greg logged on this afternoon there was quite a virtual queue.
He received this message letting him know that once it was his turn in the queue he had only 10 minutes to make his reservation. +
Once in, he was able to get 1 Gold Member Ticket Only.
After he completed the purchase he went back to purchase one for Elyssa and got the warning below.
That means that the event sold out within minutes! Unfortunately those D23 members hopping to go but weren’t able to register right at 1pm will have to sit this one out.

About Disney Genie and Genie+ Service
For those unfamiliar Disney Genie will be a new module built into the My Disney Experience app. It will help guests create your best Disney day inspired by your various interests and activities. Among the highlights are a personalized itinerary feature that smartly maps out your special day with continuous updates . These are designed to save you a TON of time.
With the purchase of the Disney Genie+ service, guests can pop to the front of the line at more than 40 attractions and experiences throughout the Walt Disney World theme parks. Simply select the next available arrival window and when it’s your time, head to the new Lightning Lane entrances.
Under the new system which replaces FastPasses, guests are able to register for one selection at a time. You may only select an attraction or experience once. The cost for the service when it is officially unveiled on October 19, 2021 is $15 per person per day. The service also comes with special audio tales that let you discovery the parks in cool new ways. Plus, guests with Genie+ will be able to access special Disney PhotoPass Lenses for your mobile device. With this tool you’ll be able to explore NEW augmented reality effects.

In addition to the attractions included with Disney Genie+, guests will also have the ability to access premium access rides which you can purchase for an additional fee. This will include attractions like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Rise of the Resistance and Ratatouille. Disney has not revealed pricing for the premium rides yet. However, they did announce that prices will vary by days of the week and whether it’s peak or off-peak season.
