Celebrate National Dessert Day with these Indulgent Treats!
October 14th marks National Dessert Day and this is one holiday I can definitely get behind.
Calories aside – when I am on vacation or visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I want to savor sweet flavors and feast on decadent delights. Disney World offers an excellent assortment of tasty desserts and treats- especially this time of year!
Between the Halloween season, upcoming holidays, and the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration, the dessert choices are truly endless.
And all across the Walt Disney World Resort new and classic eats are available. Let’s take a closer look and celebrate National Dessert Day with a few indulgent treats!
The Grapefruit Cake – Hollywood Brown Derby
This popular dining location is located on Hollywood Boulevard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Offering a delicious selection of Contemporary American foods, it is also home to one of my favorite desserts.
Experience the Golden Age of Hollywood while savoring this Brown Derby Original. A light Vanilla Sponge Cake is layered with Cream Cheese Icing and drizzled with Grapefruit syrup. It is light, a bit citrus-y, and perfectly decadent!
50th Anniversary Chocolate Fiesta Pyramid- San Angel Inn
Feast with this larger than life chocolate dessert located at the Mexico Pavilion in Epcot. Wow! This is the ultimate indulgent dessert! Enjoy yummy tres leches cake topped with a mountain- pyramid of chocolate filled with toffee and chocolate mousse. Surround that with four delicious scoops of ice cream and smother it with flavorful sauce.
This dessert is rich, decadent, and sweet! And a dessert you will definitely want to share!
Bread Pudding a la Mode- ‘Ohana
This mouth watering dessert is classic Disney! Featuring delicious sweet bread that is smothered in Homemade Caramel Sauce and topped with creamy vanilla ice cream and bananas!
This is one of my faves. This creamy rich dessert is perfect to complete your Polynesian dinner!
The Kitchen Sink- Beaches and Cream
Experience a retro-inspired menu and nostalgic charm at this fun soda fountain. And most importantly? Experience the Kitchen Sink!
Definitely bring family or friends to conquer this decadent dessert. Featuring multiple scoops of Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Cookies ‘n Cream, and Mint Chocolate Chip, the rich and creamy dessert is smothered with candy and flavored sauces!
Think Hot Fudge, Peanut Butter, candy pieces, and more. It can also be personalized in Chocolate Lovers or Neapolitan flavors!
An excellent choice to celebrate National Dessert Day!
50th Anniversary Chocolate Mousse Bar-Le Cellier Steakhouse
Fans of chocolate this is for you! Savor this new celebration dessert in Epcot’s Canada Pavilion. Feast on a yummy combo of Dark chocolate mousse, caramel cookie pieces, milk chocolate shell, and chocolate shortbread cookie. Edible candy pieces top the treat and feature the 50th Celebration logo.
It is beautifully plated and presented on chocolate embellishment. The dessert is small but the taste is big!
