Philharmagic at Magic Kingdom Closed for a Coco-inspired Refurbishment
If you’ve been following along with us here at MickeyBlog you’ll know that we’re at the Magic Kingdom today.
During our visit we noticed that Mickey’s Philharmagic is all boarded up.
The ride is currently closed to the public as it makes some updates.
This includes adding the new scene featuring characters and music from Pixar’s beloved film Coco.
According to the website, the attraction will remain closed until Mid-November.
It’s sad to not be able to enjoy Philharmagic for the better part of a month.
This has long been my go-to spot to get out of the Orlando heat.
However, it will be well worth the wait with new scenes bringing something a little bit different to the show.
For those unfamiliar, Philharmagic is a 3D show taking place in a Concert Hall and featuring 150 foot wide, 180 degree seamless wraparound screens.
Guests experience songs from some of your favorite Disney attractions including “Be Our Guest” from Beauty and the Beast, “Part of Your World” from The Little Mermaid, “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King” from The Lion King and “You Can Fly” from Peter Pan—plus many more
Best of all, there’s also some pixie dust thrown in as the attraction features child-friendly, in-house special effects throughout the presentation. These effects, created to further immerse you in the adventure, include light splashes of water and other surprises.
