Rambeau Spin-Off Possibly Coming to Disney+
Lieutenant Trouble may be out for more mayhem. Fresh off news that “WandaVision” co-star Kathryn Hahn is getting her own spin-off playing Agatha Harkness, Teyonah Perris’ Monica Rambeau is rumored to be following suit with her own series.
According to a reliable Marvel source speaking with Twitter influencer Daniel Richtman (@DanielRPK), The Walt Disney Company and Marvel are developing a Disney+ series starring Teyonah. This is on top of her already confirmed role in “The Marvels” movie coming in late 2022.

“WandaVision” is proving to be a nexus event in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, spawning two spin-offs and lending its characters to upcoming Marvel projects like “Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” and “The Marvels.”
The last time we saw Monica she was being recruited by Nick Fury’s skrull operatives to return to space. Given Iman Vellani’s involvement in “The Marvels,” the television series will most likely either be a prequel to “Wandavision” or take place in the aftermath of “The Marvels” film.
We know that Monica has already begun her transformation into Photon, though she is also channeling her inner spy revealing nothing.
Monica Rambeau Returns to the MCU
“Because as we know, or maybe not, but I’ll tell you, that Monica will be in ‘Captain Marvel 2’ with Carol Danvers and Kamala Khan, Ms. Marvel. So that gives us space to further explore what might be happening there, so I don’t want to ruin anything for you,” Perris said in a recent interview with Comicbook.com.
While the series has yet to be confirmed by Marvel, they did confirm an enormous number of projects recently with 31 projects in the works, according Marvel Studios executive Victoria Alonso in an interview with CBR.
“It is a question about how are we handling multiple plates in the air at the same time, and the biggest thing is that sometimes the plates fall, and, you know, what are you going to do then? We want people to understand that the idea that we have, to tell these connected stories, it is important that the world knows that the characters we create, their stories have to do with how humans interact with each other,” Alonso said after acknowledging the wealth of projects in the pipeline.
Regardless of if and when a Photo-centric show gets a greenlight, the future is bright for the Captain Marvel corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
