Disney Inside Joke in Muppets Haunted Mansion

Disney Haunted Mansion fans have something to look forward to in Muppets Haunted Mansion. Appropriately, the Halloween film features a Disney inside joke.

Muppets Haunted Mansion Released Today

Disney+ released Muppets Haunted Mansion today, Friday, October 8, 2021. So, watch for the joke in this described scene.

Infamous Haunted Mansion Words

The Great Gonzo, played by Dave Goelz, and Pepe the King Prawn (Bill Baretta) are trapped in the eerie house. They must escape the spooky mansion by sunrise!

Of course, Gonzo and Pepe find themselves in the iconic Haunted Mansion ballroom. Here, a ghostly Kermit the Frog, portrayed by Matt Vogel, leads a musical number.

Then, the cantankerous Statler and Waldorf (played by Peter Linz and Dave Goelz) arrive in their supernatural forms. In fact, they approach in a floating “doom buggy,” which is the attraction’s infamous ride vehicle.

Next, their doom buggy stops floating in the middle of the air. Suddenly, a voice announces, “Your attention, please. Please remain seated in your doom buggy, and we will continue our tour momentarily.”

Since the Haunted Mansion is an omnimover attraction, the vehicles constantly move as Guests load the doom buggies. The ride has to stop periodically in order to allow Guests with limited movement abilities to load.

Many Haunted Mansion fans immediately recognize this message, since it is really played on the actual attraction. Also, if the ride stops for a few minutes, then this recording plays over and over again!
