WATCH: Spaceship Earth Beacon of Light Show: “The Most Magical Place on Earth”

Walt Disney World’s 4 Theme Park icons received a very special nighttime makeover for the big 50th anniversary celebration. Cinderella Castle, Tower of Terror, Tree of Life, and Spaceship Earth glitter with fantastical lighting accompanied by all-new music as part of the festivities. 

Epcot’s icon is, of course, the famed Spaceship Earth- a massive spherical structure that houses an entire attraction! 

Click here to watch clips of EPCOT Beacons of Magic from opening night! I wasn’t expecting the grandiose new music that accompanies the ‘Beacons’ show! The grandiose, Broadway-meets-Disney music is the perfect fanfare to welcome guests into the Parks during the 50th celebration, and it was a total surprise!

Spaceship Earth isn’t the only part of Epcot that received some new magic ahead of the 50th. The entire entrance plaza was re-done complete with an open design, new flags, and prismatic fountain that harkens back to the Park entrance’s original layout.
