Opening Day Cast Members Return For Magic Kingdom Photo Op
One of the awesome agents at MickeyTravels was at Walt Disney World today and shared with us a look at an incredible photo op!
The group you see in these photos are actually Cast Members that were working at Walt Disney World’s opening day back on October 1, 1971!
It must be an amazing experience to be back at the place where it all started on the day when it all started.
So much has changed, yet that Walt Disney World magic still remains the same!
Just before the official 50th Anniversary launch, Disney revealed that there are approximately two dozen cast members at Walt Disney World that actually have the distinction of having worked at the parks for the entire 50 year history! What an incredible milestone.
On days like today, when cast members are dealing with unprecedented demand and crowds, it’s important to acknowledge their contribution when it comes to keep the magic alive for over five decades!
Disney lovingly refers to the group of original cast members as the Class of 71!
