PHOTOS: Crowds Flood Main Street for Happily Ever After Finale
The story came alive one final time last evening at Magic Kingdom. ‘Happily Ever After’ ended its 4-year fireworks run to a roaring crowd- and we were there amidst all the excitement!
By the time I entered the Park last evening just after 6pm, the Castle Hub was already filled with guests who had been queuing for some hours for Happily Ever After that would begin at 8:15pm. The crowd was most densely packed in the castle foreground.
Although I’m sure Enchantment will be lightyears ahead of Happily Ever After (HEA) technologically, it’s clear that HEA holds a special place in the hearts of so many Disney fans…especially judging from the amount of guests who came out to support the show on its final night!
With 30 minutes to spare, it was obvious that everyone had found a spot and were settled in for the show. Silence ascended on Magic Kingdom as everyone eagerly anticipated the show’s opening chords…and the moment the downbeat began everyone erupted into a massive round of applause!
As the show progressed, each and every section received its own round of applause. Fittingly, Tinkerbell’s magical flight over Main Street drew the loudest roar from the crowd last night as the final burst of Happily Ever After faded into the night sky. Although I’m sad to see HEA go, I’m equally as excited to see Enchantment take to the skies tomorrow!
