New Luxury Resort Coming to Walt Disney World
The Orlando Business Journal is reporting that a new luxury resort is coming to the Walt Disney World Resort area. This new resort will not be owned by Disney but rather owned by Darton US Holdings which is the U.S. subsidiary of Petroliam Nasional Berhad or Petronas in Malaysia. Other luxury resorts in the Walt Disney World Resort area that are held by different corporations include the Four Seasons Orlando and Waldorf Astoria.

The new luxury resort will be located on the other side of I-4 from the Walt Disney World Resort. An exact address is yet to be given.
Once open, the resort will include everything from a two-story conference center to an adults-only pool. In the conference center, there will be a grand ballroom, smaller ballroom, and meeting rooms. Other highlights of this new luxury resort coming to the Walt Disney World Resort area include:
- A family pool
- Steakhouse
- Spa and fitness room
- Children’s center
The resort will be 575,268-square-feet while the conference center will be 50,046-square-feet. A three-story parking garage will also be built for Guests and visitors.
In addition, the new resort is going to boast 2,743-square-feet of retail space along with two restaurants – one indoor and one considered a “bungalow eatery.”

At this time, it is uncertain which brand this hotel might be a part of. The Orlando Business Journal is reporting that it is just listed as “Orlando Luxury Resort Hotel.”
Also unknown is when they will break ground on the new resort and when it will open.

While things are slowly starting to get to normal in a COVID world, Walt Disney World Resort Hotels and other hotels in the area have very limited availability through the end of 2021 and well into 2022. Another hotel or resort option in the area will be a more than welcome addition.
