ICYMI: Tokyo Disneyland Announces New Ambassador
‘Tis the season throughout Disney Parks to induct a new set of ambassadors. In a tradition that dates back to the first Disneyland ambassador in 1965, Tokyo Disneyland announced their next brand leader over the weekend. Meet Mika Ogasawara!

Over 200 applicants applied for this year’s search at the Japan-based theme park. The field was widled down to four beofre Mika was selected, according to the Disney Parks Blog post.
Previously, Mika worked at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel in guest relations. Now, she will train for her new role, which mainly includes sharing stories of the parks and cast.
“As a Disney Ambassador, Mika will represent the cast members of Tokyo Disney Resort as the official cast member representative, sharing Disney dreams and stories of our cast with people around the world,” stated Disney Parks Blog in their recent post.
“I would like to share with people around the world the dreams and happiness of Tokyo Disney Resort. I also aspire to become the Tokyo Disney Resort Ambassador who is admired by many people,” Mika shared in the recent article.
Mika will certainly have much to share at Tokyo DisneySea undergoes a massive refurbishment over the next few years. The new area, aptly titled Fantasy Springs, introduces three new innovative spaces to the Disney Parks family.

Themed spaces in the new land include those after two popular modern Disney animated films, “Frozen” and “Tangled” as well as a space based on Peter Pan’s Neverland.
The resort is also set to receive a brand-new deluxe resort designed entirely around Pixar’s hit franchise, “Toy Story.” Congratulations, Mika! We can’t wait to hear more of Mika’s stories about the resort.
