“Harmonious” Crowds Gather Around World Showcase
It’s a great day to be at EPCOT as the incredible brand-new fireworks spectacular, “Harmonious,” debuts in just under an hour. Crowds began to gather earlier this afternoon around World Showcase Lagoon and picked up within the last half an hour.
Last night, fans bid adieu to “EPCOT Forever,” a temporary show that celebrated the rich past of the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow and the future of the innovative theme park.
Tonight, crowds get the first glimpse of what that future will be … at least as it pertains to evening entertainment.
True to previous shows, the bridge that connects the United Kingdom pavilion to the France pavilion continues to be a popular place to watch the spectacular shows that light up the EPCOT night sky.
Earlier in the day, International Food and Wine Festival guests grabbed a beverage and tasty treat to enjoy as they positioned themselves for the show near the Canada pavilion. Other popular locales often include the walkways near the Italy and American Adventure pavilions.
Others utilized scooters to save their spots for the highly anticipated show this evening. Though the show does not officially open until October 1st, “Harmonious” debuts tonight as a soft opening. It also features in a live stream on Disney Parks Blog that begins at 9 p.m.
“Harmonious” takes on the accolade of “one of the largest nighttime spectauclarsever created for Disney Parks,” according to the Walt Disney World website. Featuring artists from over 240 countries and at least six Disney films, the show is sure to be beyond impressive. MickeyBlog is there for tonight’s show, and we cannot wait to show you all that the designers, performers and engineers have created for this remarkable celebration of the Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th anniversary celebration.
