Fan Favorite Matsuriza Drummers Returning to EPCOT on October 1st
Did you hear? The Matsuriza drummers are coming back to EPCOT! That’s right, as of October 1st, the Matsuriza will take their place once again at the Pagoda home in the Japan pavilion to perform for guests. Best news all day!

The Matsuriza drummers had what they believed was their final performance at EPCOT back on March 15, 2020. With all of the layoffs that were happening at Disney World due to the COVID-19 shut down, they were one of them at the time. As you can assume, everyone, even the performers were heartbroken as they have been performing at EPCOT for 25 years.

If you haven’t heard the amazing performance of the Matsuriza, then you are really missing out. Their sound is so loud and triumphant, you can hear them clear across the World Showcase Lagoon. Japanese Taiko drums have been enthralling audiences for years in religious ceremonies, festivals, and even on battlefields as soldiers prayed for victory. Come witness the thrill of Taiko for yourself!

With Disney’s Cultural Representation Program coming back, this has opened the door for many of these performers to come back. In addition to the Matsuriza drummers, the witty street performer Sergio will return to the Italy Pavilion on October 1st as well! So many new exciting acts coming back!
