Runtime, Set List and More Given For EPCOT’s Harmonious!

Disney has just sent out a press release which gives us more exciting insights into EPCOT’s new nighttime spectacular which will make it’s debut next week (October 1st.)  We now know more about the songs that will be included, Disney films featured and runtime 

Let’s dive in and learn more about EPCOT’s new fireworks display!

Harmonious will shine on a light on 15 favorite Disney songs which have been reimagined by a culturally diverse ensemble of 240 artists from around the world.  This includes musicians, composers, arrangers, vocalists and more. 

A continuation of EPCOT’s multi-year transformation, Harmonious takes EPCOT guests on a thrilling journey through new interpretations of classic Disney songs.  You’ll hear them as you’ve never heard them before as they are inspired and influenced by performers spanning the globe. The music plays amid choreographed moving fountains, lights, lasers, fireworks and other special effects that light up the night sky over World Showcase Lagoon. 

A Closer Look at the Musics and Films of Harmonious

Guests watching from around the World Showcase will be treated to a “cultural symphony” with the underlying theme of the unifying power of story and song. 

Here’s a look at the key scenes from the production: 

• The show opens with a medley of songs including “How Far I’ll Go” from Moana, “Go the Distance” from Hercules both of which are performed by American Idol finalist and GRAMMY nominee Danny Gokey who is joined by vocalists Elisha Garrett and Ninet Tayeb. 
• Favorites from The Lion King are then performed in both English and Zulu by the The Ndlovu Youth Choir from Johannesburg. 
• Vocalist Bryson Camper and legendary gospel artists Karen Clark Sheard and Kierra Sheard then take us through a rendition of “Dig a Little Deeper” from The Princess and the Frog.

• “Out There” from The Hunchback of Notre Dame is next in a rendition by French Pop Star Damien Sargue. 
• This is followed by a medley of rousing melodies from Pixar’s Coco as sung by award-winning Puerto Rican artist Luis Fonsi who you’ll also know as the force behind the global hit Despacito. He is joined by Mexican singer/songwriter Joy. 
• GRAMMY and Emmy-nominated violinist Máiréad Nesbitt and platinum-selling electronic artist, violinist and multi-talented entertainer Lindsey Stirling take us through songs from Brave. 
• Harmonious winds down with a medley featuring sections from movies including Mulan, The Jungle Book, and Aladdin. These songs feature the vocal talents of Wang Liugi, Hollie Hammel, Aditya Rao, Gaayatri Kaundinya, Jorgie Shkara and Sanaa Marahati.

• As the show closes, Harmonious will hopefully leave viewers with the hopeful message of the magic that happens when people join together. With this in mind, we conclude with the inspiring ballad “Someday.” from The Hunchback of Notre Dame which will be combined with the new EPCOT theme song from composer Pinar Toprak.

• The show has a runtime of 20 minutes 
• Performances occur nightly (weather permitted.) 
• There are 15 songs that appear in Harmonious. 
• 13 different languages are represented in the production. 
• The soundtrack includes 240 artists from around the world. 
• Over 110 separate recording sessions took place in 9 different countries to bring the music of Harmonious to audiences. 

• 5 floating platforms will be positioned like a compass on the World Showcase to support the show’s equipment.
