Scrims Starting To Come Down as Construction Continues at Contemporary Resort
If you’ve been following along with us here at MickeyBlog, you’ll know that Disney’s Contemporary Resort is currently undergoing a MASSIVE makeover.
Changes are being made to the main lobby area, The Wave…of American Flavors which is becoming Steakhouse 71 and all of the rooms are getting an INCREDIBLE makeover.
That’s right, all of the guest rooms in the new monorail tower will be be fully updated with mid-century modern furnishings and textiles that pay tribute to Pixar’s beloved film The Incredibles.
When the work started, scrims were put up around the hallways of each of the guest rooms. As you can see from the image above these beige tarps completely covered most of the view from inside the Tower.
As teams make progress on the rooms, we are noticing that scrims are starting to come down.
You can now see at least three levels where the hallway scrims have been removed.
This is exciting news and definitely speaks to the progress of the refurbishments.
We can’t wait to take our first look at these re-imagined guest rooms. Like the new Moana-themed rooms at the Poly, they’re sure to add an extra bit of Disney magic to this popular monorail property!
With weekly visits to Walt Disney World, we here at MickeyBlog will continue to track the project of this project.
