The Sir Mickey’s Sign at Magic Kingdom Is In Need Of Repair
We blame the giant…for the fact that the sign at Sir Mickey’s looks as if its about read to fall from the sky, much like the giant in the classic fairy tale.
As we walked through Fantasyland this afternoon we noticed that the sign looked a bit wonky.
Upon closer inspection, we noticed that the screws holding the sign up above the shop had come lose.
You can see from the picture below that the screws have come completely out from this popular gift shop next to Cinderella Castle.
Though it looks the the vine entanglement is enough to keep it plummeting to the ground just now, it is a bit nervous making.
This is a very popular Disney spot and with the popularity of the Fantasyland attractions is a popular spot for kids.
We hope the fact the the sign is totally lopsided just now was enough let Disney teams know that it needs repair.
Perhaps Disney teams will repair the signage while the parks are closed this evening.
This is when the majority of maintenance work is carried out.
We don’t like to see the sharp nails dangling above our heads.
You can see from these images where the sign was meant to attach to. It is at the bottom of one of the brown frames to the upper windows.
For those unfamiliar Sir Mickey’s is a Gift Shop specializing in Fantasyland and Princess merchandise.
It also famously features the Giant from Jack and the beanstalk inside. It looks like he has lifted off the roof of the shop and is peeking inside.
It is a great place to pop in and get a picture of the giant.
However, watch your heads when heading toward the entrance. At least until the sign gets repaired.
