New Lighting Brightens Up the Lobby of Disney’s Contemporary Resort
And at last, I see the light… new lights, that is!
Some wacky new light fixtures have been installed over at Disney’s Contemporary Resort – let’s go check them out!
Lining the grand lobby of the deluxe hotel are these brand-new light fixtures.
They’re unique, they’re obscure and – like the rest of the resort – they are very Contemporary!
I can’t work out how best to describe these gold fittings. Each round light bulb stems from the central fitting like the solar system. Or like a spider?
Or perhaps even like those connecting magnet toys. Don’t they remind you of something?
Of course! Fireworks are what these light fittings clearly resemble.
After all, the Contemporary is one of the most perfect locations on property to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks, so it makes perfect sense to bring some of that magic into the lobby area.
If you have been following MickeyBlog lately, you’ll know that the Contemporary has received quite a few updates to its décor. Most recently, the elevators received a snazzy new interior design featuring the Walt Disney World Monorail, and lots of signage in honor of the 50th Anniversary celebrations has been installed.
It’s all very appealing, but not as exciting as the opening of the upcoming Steakhouse 71 restaurant opening soon at the resort!
What do you think of these quirky new light fittings?
They can be found near the lifts in the hotel’s lobby, and are definitely seeming to ‘brighten’ up the place!
If you are visiting Disney’s Contemporary Resort soon, make sure you hunt for the fun new Hidden Mickeys which have been popping up across the hotel. They’re everywhere!
