ICYMI: Fireworks Viewing Parties Return in October
With “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” only 17 days away, Walt Disney World continues to release information on a plethora of exciting and delicious anniversary festivities. Today, Disney Parks Blog officially announced the return of not one but six new ways to enjoy the evening spectaculars at both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT.
Enchantment Fireworks Gala at California Grill
When “Disney Enchantment” lights up the Magic Kingdom skies next month, guests will be able to choose from a number of specialty dining and dessert options. The most grand of them all will certainly be the “Celebration at the Top: 50th Flavors and Fireworks at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.”
Bookings open on Sept. 17th for the event, which kicks off on October 2nd. Both of California Grill’s private spaces, the Sonoma and the Napa Rooms, will treat guests to an array of “sushi and small plates that pay homage to the original menu from the resort’s opening in 1971,” according to Disney Parks Blog.
Specialty cocktails are also included in the cocktail hour-style event. Of course, guests will also enjoy “Disney Enchantment” from the rooftop viewing area outside of the restaurant, a Disney must-do. Following the fireworks, the celebration continues with desserts and after-dinner drinks back inside the exquisite space. Tickets for this event are $129/person.
Dessert Parties Return to Magic Kingdom
On top of the Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruises that will begin next week, today we also learned that Magic Kingdom will again host dessert parties within the park as well.
Tomorrowland Terrace returns to its role as excpeptional dessert party host beginning October 3rd with three different options for guests. All three events feature desserts fit for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” as well as cheese and even alcoholic beverages of select wines and beers for guest of age.
The Disney Enchantment Pre-Party and the Disney Enchantment Post-Party both include a Plaza Garden reserved standing space to view the fireworks. The Pre-Party will enjoy dessert prior to the show, and the Post-Party will pop into the Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant following the spectacle. The third event, titled Disney Enchantment Treats & Seats, includes reserved seating within the Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant.
Reservations for all three enhancements open on Sept. 17th. For Treats and Seats, the dessert party will be $114 per adult and $69 per child. For the pre- and post-parties, the tickets are $99 for adults and $59 for children.
A Harmonius Way to Watch
Dubbed “one of the largest nighttime spectaculars ever created for Disney Parks” according Disney Parks Blog, “Harmonious” already promises to create a night to remember at EPCOT. To get prime seating for the show, guests can now choose from two new dining packages: one at the Rose & Crown and one at Spice Road Table.
Beginning Oct. 1st, the Rose & Crown Fireworks Dining Package debuts a prix-fixe three course meal of delicious British food as well as unlimited beverages. Rose & Crown’s perfectly situated porch offers a stellar viewing location for “Harmonious,” and the package includes a space to wonder at the show. This event costs $89/adult and $39/child.
Nestled on the shore of the World Showcase Lagoon at the Morocco Pavilion, Spice Road Table’s outdoor dining locale also gets the specialty treatment in honor of the 50th anniversary. The Spice Road Table Dining Package guarantees guests a table for the evening’s show. Serving up Mediterranean specialties, the package includes two small plate selections, an assortment of desserts and unlimited beverages. This event costs $72/adult and $31/child.
Both the Spice Road Table and the Rose & Crown Packages begin on October 1st, the first night of “Harmonious.” Reservations open for both on Sept. 23rd.
