Crystal Palace Lunch Buffet Is Back and MickeyBlog is There
We are at Magic Kingdom this afternoon where one of our favorite restaurants EVER has just reopened for lunch!
That’s right! Buffets are back Disney friends and we’re at the Crystal Palace at the top of Main Street USA to be among the first to try out their new lunchtime offerings!
As you can see, the restaurant opens at 11:30 daily for their lunch buffet which boasts Salads, Pastas, Carved Beef, Peel-n-Eat Shrimp, Chicken, Vegetable Creations, House-made Sweets and Ice Cream!
It should be noted that at the moment, Winnie the Pooh and Friends DO NOT appear at this dining experience.
It is a buffet without characters until further notice – We promise to keep you posted!
It’s time to check in! Because of it’s prime location, reservations are strongly encouraged.
Though Tigger and Piglet are on hiatus at the moment, their presence is still felt with these adorable topiary decorations!
And here is Winnie the Pooh and Eeyore!
The dining room is as lovely as we remember it.
It is fashioned after a Victorian-style greenhouse.
You’ll find lots of floral details from hanging baskets to the vibrant carpeting.
Similar to what we reported at Boma. Guests can help themselves to the buffet.
However, if you look closely you can see that there are covered glass tops to all of the buffet bars and guests are required to wear masks while at the buffet.
As always, the cast members were simply wonderful!
Like other openings that we’ve attended, the cast members went above and beyond to make this reopening truly magical.
The dining room is positively pristine!
There were lots of big waves from a happy team!
Seeing their excitement when it came to the reopening made us excited!
The traffic was a little quieter than usual this afternoon. But we did have an early lunch (11:30 am) and aren’t quite sure if word about the reopening had caught on yet!
Happy re-opening Crystal Palace Team!
It’s time for Sharda to take us to our table!
Even though character dining isn’t on the cards just now, the Friendship Celebration banner is still up!
Because Magic Kingdom recently changed their teetotal rules, guests 21 and older can order select alcoholic beverages to go with your meal!
Now it’s time for our first look at the buffet and we can’t wait to tuck in!
Guests could start things off with Walt’s Favorite Chili!
Cornbread, tortilla chips and nacho cheese were also available.
There were delicious rolls to accompany.
Whipped Butter and Honey Butter were available for the rolls.
The buffet included a salad bar with lots of options!
Everything was fresh and delicious!
There was also a Shrimp and Crab Claw Cocktail Plate that looked amazing!
It came with cocktail sauce and lemon.
In the same area was an Artisanal meat and cheese selection.
Entrees included Seared Pork Tenderloin.
It came covered in a mustard cream.
Recommended sides included Roasted Wild Mushrooms.
And also cheesy broccoli!
Seafood lovers could opt for the Mahi Mahi.
It came in a Romesco Sauce.
Recommended side was a Basmati Rice with Fried Spring Onions.
Guests could order up Fire-Roasted Prime Rib!

Additional options included Canned Peas and Winter Squash Ravioli!
The Ravioli looked absolutely mouth-watering and we were told that it was one of Walt’s favorites!
And below are the peas – A British Classic!
Meat-lovers could also opt for the Braised Beef Short Ribs.
The ribs were steeped in a cabernet reduction.
Recommended side was the Corn on the Cob.
Next up we have Build Your Own Tater Tots!
I am definitely here for it!
On the left is the oven-roasted pork belly!
Another entrée option was the Country Fried Chicken.
Recommended sides were Green Beans and Mashed Potatoes!
There were so many incredible entrees and sides that we felt spoiled for choice.
For fussy eaters, there was also a Kid’s Buffet!
It was filled with trusted favorites including Chicken Strips, Mac and Cheese, Quesadillas and Pizza!
Who is ready to talk desserts!
There were four different types of treats to choose from. You can see the Strawberry Shortcake above. Just below is the French Silk Cupcake – YUM!
Also below is the S’mores Tart which is sure to be a crowd pleaser.
And last, but not least, Walt’s favorite butterscotch pudding topped with Caramel Popcorn!
In addition there were two hot desserts. This included cookies warm out of the oven.
There was also an Apple Cobbler that was simply divine!
Soft serve ice cream was available and sure to be popular with the kids.
Guests could choose from self serve chocolate, vanilla or swirl ice cream options!
