BREAKING NEWS: Get a First Look at the Fab 50 Statues at Magic Kingdom
Things are looking incredible festive at Magic Kingdom today!
Here’s a photo taken this morning at the Plaza Gardens. Do you recognize anything different!?
That’s right! The Fab 50 statues are starting to be put in place and let’s just say it made us a bit emotional.
The reveals we shared with you over the last few months DID NOT do these statues justice. They are simply stunning.
As you can see Goofy and Pluto are positioned close together in the HUB.
They both sit on beautiful Earidescent platforms featuring the 50th Anniversary emblem.
The details on these character statues is absolutely amazing!
They really capture the characteristics of each Disney friend and really bring them to life!
This is the first day that these statues are out. We’ve only had time to pop by the Magic Kingdom but suspect that they’ll also be cropping up at the other theme parks in the days ahead!
Next up are the two statues that I’m sure you’ve been waiting for! Mickey and Minnie are standing happily side-by-side.
Mickey looks so excited to be celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Disney World.
We love that Minnie is doing a little dance in her polka dot dress!
She even has a matching bow!
She’s striking a fabulous pose!
These two make for a beautiful photo spot in the gardens.
Now it’s time to take a look at another of our favorite Disney duos – Daisy and Donald.
As you can see, our feathered friends have VIP views of the castle!
Daisy is striking a very stylish pose as always.
And Donald gives us a quick tip-of-the-hat!
He seems to be happily marching along.
You’ll find them in the gardens closest to the castle.
The details on Daisy are just brilliant right down to the eyelashes!
And look at the little tufts of feathers on Donald’s head.
Again, this is another stunning photo spot with the Partners Statue in the background.
With the Fab 50 statues along with the decorated castle, we’re really starting to feel like the 50th Anniversary has arrived!
In the Town Square area you’ll find Lady and the Tramp.
These two fittingly share a statue.
We love Lady’s coy look and Tramp’s excited expression.
Be on the lookout for this canine duo as soon as you enter the park.
You can see Le Chapeau and the Emporium in the background.
Moving on to two more of our friends it’s Dumbo and Timothy!
Timothy sits atop Dumbo’s trunk.
These two look so happy to be in each other’s company.
You can also find this duo in the HUB.
You can see the gateway to Tomorrowland in the background.
Dumbo sits atop a ball.
We love the way that Dumbo gazes up at Timothy. It’s so sweet!
Below you can see two of our favorite critters – Chip and Dale.
You’ll also find them in the Plaza Gardens.
We love this image of these bosom pals with the Castle in the background.
You can see that they sit just to the left side of the Partners Statue.
We feel like the sun is shining a little brighter because these statues are out today!
Tinker Bell has to be one of our favorites for location alone!
She sits high among the treetops and is actually a little bit tricky to find!
We won’t give away to much about Tink’s location but see if you can find her during your visit!
As you can see, she sits atop a 50th Anniversary emblem.
It looks like a faux tree trunk was created especially for her!
She is perfectly pint sized!
But even though she is tiny, Disney certainly didn’t skimp on the details.
Okay, who is ready for a cuddle!?
Winnie the Pooh and Piglet certainly are!
We love the way that Piglet is sort of nuzzling Pooh!
These two are in the perfect location.
You can see Crystal Palace in the background.
You can also see Casey’s Corner in the background.
You’ll have to look carefully around Cinderella Castle to find our next Disney friends!
Jacques and Gus don’t want to be too far away from their favorite princess.
They can be found helping with a bit of 50th Anniversary decorating.
The mice are holding up the anniversary emblem.
They look happy as ever and ready to celebrate!
We love the location of this!
Seeing these statues in person we can really appreciate the realistic scale of each of the characters.
We’ll be hitting up more of the parks this weekend so keep following along with us here at MickeyBlog for a closer look at some of the Fab50 statues at the other parks!
