Disney Continues to Brighten Up “it’s a small world”
If there has been one attraction at Walt Disney World that consistently dazzles it is the beloved “it’s a Small World.”
Even more so these days with a recent paint job it’s getting.
For the past several weeks, Disney has been repainting the inside facade for the attraction and it is looking more delightful than ever.
Bold pops of color, shimmering overcoats and twinkling lights make waiting in line for this Fantasyland boat ride a treat!
Some of the design elements were modernized while still retaining that Mid-Century feel.
Capitalizing on the artistic style of Mary Blair, this ride is timeless right down to the clock which erupts with cacophony of sound and activity every hour!
Even the smile on the clock face seems a little wider these days.
We’ve carefully followed the progress of this refurbishment with crews working after hours to carry out this work.
We’ll continue to do so in the lead in to Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebration which kicks off on October 1st.
With under a month to go, we expect this attraction to look even more dazzling in the days to come!
We do know that there are some 3D elements that still need to be put into place!
Similar to the mint green dome with white accents that you see in the image below!
At the moment, the work has been limited to the loading area of the attraction. We aren’t away of any changes happening inside ride itselt.
