It’s D23 Ratatouille Preview Day and MickeyBlog is There!
Good morning Disney friends! Today we are coming to you from EPCOT where MickeyBlog is attending the D23 preview for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure as well as the expanded area of EPCOT’s France Pavilion!
It was an early morning for us as the event officially started at 7am!
Our Journey started at the Wonder parking lot.
Once there we hopped on the bus which took us to the France Pavilion via the backstage area!
It was a beautiful morning at EPCOT. Here you can see the World Showcase Lagoon with the Harmonious barges in position for Disney’s new evening show Harmonious coming to the park on October 1st.
We also love this view of the Skyliner with the Gusteau sign for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in the distance!
Here’s a look at our official lanyards for the vent which outlines our morning schedule.
Morning refreshments were available at the France Pavilion which was a nice morning touch!
Just check out that awesome artwork on the lanyard. It will definitely have pride-of-place in our Disney collection!
A nice area was set up for D23 guests to mingle.
As you can see, there were a lot of people on-sight for this morning’s events!
Beverage stations were set up for the all important coffees and teas!
We were also treated to a morning croissant which was “Tres jolie!.”
Hats off to the INCREDIBLE cast members working the event this morning.
They were working tirelessly to keep everything stocked.
There was also a juice station.
As well as standing tables where guests could enjoy their petit dejeuner.
Here’s a look at our morning spread!
It was just what we needed to start the day!
While we wait to go into the Palais de Cinema for a presentation we had some time to get some awesome EPCOT shots!
Here’s the gate leading into the new expanded area of the France Pavilion and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.
The sign is reminiscent of those you’ll find in the Paris Metro stations.
Here is one of the cast members giving us an excited thumbs up!
Remy is just outside the gates giving us an excited wave.
Here are Greg and Elyssa posing with Remy!
Look at all of the ornate details in the ironwork!
The ambiance here is really something spectacular! We love it!
It’s time for us to line up at the Palais de Cinema for the presentation.
As you can see there is a nice crowd of D23 members waiting right along with us!
This presentation has a running time of 45 minutes! We can’t wait do see what’s in store.
It shouldn’t be long now!
After the presentation, it’s time to head over to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.
This newly expanded area of the France Pavilion is even more beautiful than we imagined!
There’s all of these beautiful little details that really set the tone.
Like the bikes parked curbside.
There’s beautiful shop windows like this patisserie!
Beautiful faux treats are stacked high in the window.
Holding pride-of-place in the courtyard near the entrance to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is this fountain!
It looks traditional enough but when you look closely you can see that many Remy’s can be seen adorning the fountain!
Popping champagne bottles also serve as the water features for the fountain which is a delightful touch.
At the very top you can see Remy with his chef’s hat and wooden spoon!
Now it is time to line up to go on the ride itself.
Our excitement is mounting!
But not before we have a chance to snap a few more details!
Look at the ironwork on the window boxes!
Even those little out-of-the-way spots are magical.
As we near the entrance, you can see a traditional cinema ticket booth and some classic-style movie posters featuring our favorite friends from the film!
Here’s a look at the signage for the ride!
There are no height restrictions on this family-friend ride and wheelchair access is available.
Another friendly welcome from the cast members working the ride!
We love the drama masks in the background!
The wallpaper in the foyer features lots of fund Remy-inspired details!
The indoor queue provides a nighttime Parisian street scene.
The queue eventually winds its way through corridors featuring artwork.
And through a scene fashioned after an artist’s loft!
Look at all of those delightful details!
Time to grab out 3D glasses!
It’s hard not to have a big smile on your face as you board these ride vehicles!
Just look at those adorable little tails!
The start of the ride also features a Gusteau’s sign providing a unique sense of perspective.
We love all of these little details like the illuminated rooftop skylights!
The ride itself has a combination of 3D screens and actual props to make this Parisian kitchen come to life.
We did our best to capture these elements for you.
We love those moments when the props and the 3D seamlessly combine!
However due to the motion and the 3D, they may come across a bit blurry.
However, they do give a sense of how truly magical this ride really is as we scurry out of the way so we don’t get stepped on in this bustling kitchen!
We’re definitely causing a bit of a commotion!
It’s okay Linguini, everything’s under control!
Us rats certainly know how to create a ruckus!
It wouldn’t be a Ratatouille ride without Emile!
Watch out for the mop!
It’s time for a visit from the restaurant critic Ego.
This ride takes you from a bustling kitchen floor to the rooftops!
We love a good grand finale and this one is sure to please!
Just look at all of our rat friends assembled together!
Chef Remy has created his own kitchen!
Which as you can see is wonderfully popular!
It’s time to disembark…
and head over to the creperie where a special treat is being served up for D23 members!
Guests had their choice between a hazelnut spread crepe or a red berries crepe.
Here’s a quick way from the chef, proprietor and staff!
La Creperie de Paris will be serving up both sweet and savory crepe options as well as Frances famous hard cider!
The property will offer table service dining as well as a takeaway window for those wanting their crepes on the go.
Inside, the Creperie combines modern and classic French style.
There is an ample size indoor seating area!
Look how sparkly and new everything is!
As a table service eatery, advanced reservations are recommended.
We suspect in the early days of opening, this restaurant will fill up quite quickly.
Black and white photos of France adorn the walls.
This eatery was inspired by the Brittany region of France.
Here’s a look at the menu for the takeaway window featuring both sweet and savory options along with cider, beer, wine and ice cream!
The cast member costumes at the creperie definitely rank among our favorites!
We tried both the hazelnut and red berry options.
They were both warm, light and cooked to perfection.
We managed to grab one of the outside tables to sample our treats!
Not only are the crepes generously filled, they also feature toppings adding that extra bit of deliciousness.
It was heard for us to decide which one we liked best they were both so good.
Here you can see how close the creperie is from the ride queue.
Water stations were also set up for guests when the got off the ride!
Our crepes are almost too beautiful to eat!
