Polynesian Refurbishment Continues at Fever Pitch
The anxiety of the full completion of the beloved Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is at a record high.
Each day, we can see more progress with The Great Ceremonial House, monorail station and all of its vibrant and tropical decor coming to life.
We love the refreshed look at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. The colors make you feel like you’re in the south pacific!
Construction crews are working around the clock to ready the resort!
New lighthing has been installed on the monorail platform. It is themed perfectly with the rest of the resort!
It seems as though Disney is making great strides each day and we see a glimpse of the ongoing construction at of one of our favorite resorts on Disney property.
As you can see from the images we just recently captured, the progress is coming along nicely and we are feeling more confident that the finished product will be completed in time for the long-awaited 50th Celebration of The Walt Disney World Resort.
The exterior of The Great Ceremonial House is giving us all the tropical, South Seas feels with its colorful panels, thatched roofing and tropical foliage.
Disney really gave this resort a well-deserved face-lift and guests are going to be getting their vacation on from the moment they pull up to the Porte Cochere of this lovely resort.
It doesn’t hurt that Cast Members are at the front of the resort greeting new guests with a Lei and a warm welcome.
What impressed us most, was that we saw construction workers on the job on a Sunday. It is apparent that Disney is determined to complete this project as we race towards the start of the 50th Celebration, only 32 days away.
We will all be celebrating the unveiling of this reimaged resort, to match the beautiful reimaged Moana-themed rooms that were just opened a few weeks ago.
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has always remained a fan favorite of the over 20 Disney resorts on property and this huge renovation is only going to keep it as one of the top resorts requested by guests.
As we near the turn on the exciting 50th Celebration, this resort will certainly shine as a reminder as to why guests have called this “home” for all these years. Mahalo!
