BREAKING NEWS: Biergarten Buffet is Back!
Good afternoon, Disney friends! MickeyBlog headed to Epcot today for the grand return of the Biergarten Restaurant buffet! That’s right, buffets are returning, and we’re here to welcome back this German favorite! Delicious schnitzel, potato salad and strudels….come join us!
We made our way around World Showcase to the Germany pavilion and took our place in line for the noon opening.
The menu was posted out front, welcoming us to celebrate Oktoberfest everyday!
We checked in quickly and easily for our 12:15pm reservation via a posted QR code.
Did you know Biergarten Restaurant has an Oktoberfest Musikanten? A traditional German music show takes place on a stage inside the restaurant every few hours! We noted the posted times out front.
The restaurant was empty when we entered but the buffet was ready and smelled delicious! Let’s just say we couldn’t wait to dig in to lunch!
The stage was set and ready for the first show of the day.
Let’s get to the good stuff…the FOOD! There was plenty to choose from today and the restaurant did a great job of bringing back old Guest favorites as well as introducing some new delicious additions.
The meat selection included roasted chicken, seasoned salmon, pork schnitzel, and meatballs. A red wine sauce offered the perfect accompaniment.
A chef and carving station offered freshly sliced pork roast.
There’s even a new vegan bratwurst for our more meat-conscious friends!
Some other classic German dishes were in abundance too, including a delicious herb spätzle and sauerbraten, which was brand new to the Biergarten today!
Speaking of traditional German dishes, everyone’s favorite pretzel rolls were out in abundance with a new beer cheese soup to dip them in!
Look at this delicious plate! Do you see the subtle hidden Mickey in there?
If you’re in the mood for something a bit lighter, the cold buffet area offers a selection of traditional greens as well as other fare like beet, three bean, tomato or macaroni salads.
Now let’s talk about this dessert buffet! You won’t want to miss this!
Amazing blueberry crumble cake, bavarian cheesecake, chocolate pretzel brownies (brand new today), black forest cake, cookies and apple strudel!
The apple strudel is a new MickeyBlog favorite!
Take a peak at this array of sugary goodness!
Overall, our MickeyBloggers were pleased with the new Biergarten buffet! Big favorites include the beer and cheese soup, the apple strudel and the vegetarian bratwurst.
The lunch and dinner buffet both cost $46 per adult and $25 per child, plus tax and gratuity. The menu also includes a German beer and wine selection and non-alcoholic beverages.
We’re happy to see this restaurant back up and running and cast members back to doing what they do. Thanks for lunch, Biergarten, we’ll see you again real soon!
