Work Continues on “it’s a small world’ Queue!
Magic Kingdom should change the name of this beloved Fantasyland attraction to “it’s a small sparkly world!” Our MickeyBloggers were back at “it’s a small world” this morning where painting continues to the facade and indoor queue of the attraction.
Let’s just say that things are looking bright and beautiful!
It was a busy day at Magic Kingdom today and there here’s a look at the ride’s indoor queue to prove it!
As part of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary preparations, indoor queue area for this classic Disney attraction has been getting a bit of a sprucing up.
The colors from the blue background to the cityscapes are shiny and vivid.
Best of all, someone went crazy with the glitter paint and we are here for it!
Adding the finishing touches to this colorway are an array of lights to tie the whole thing together.
Here are some of the pastel greens and blues!
As well as some contrasting orange and gold scenery.
Everything was painted meticulously, right up to the roof tops!
The shiny blues and oranges make for an interesting yet beautiful color combination!
The clock still serves as a marvelous symbol of classic Fantasyland!
We even think it’s smile is a little bit bigger as its beams over it’s new look.
Look at those shiny gold spires.
You can’t help but feel happy as you line up for your boat ride!
Here’s a look from further back showing how this colorful scene all blends together seamlessly!
If it’s been a while since you’ve gone on this ride, it is definitely worth a re-visit.
Below you can see the boats being loaded up!.
Here’s a closer look at some radiant reds and purples!
We are totally smitten with all of the different shapes appearing in the design.
Here’s more pink sparkly bannisters and glistening purple rooftops.
The lengthy line gave us ample opportunity to capture a closer look at the refurb.
Periwinkle shapes line the queue.
The contrast between the bold colors and the white really gives it that Mary Blair feel!
We were even lucky enough to be there when the clock struck revealing these cute little soldiers!
But, before we knew it they were gone!
This is just one of many current refurbishments at Magic Kingdom just now.
Main Street Confectionary is currently closed.
Splash Mountain is covered in scaffolding.
Big Top Souvenirs in Storybook Circus has just gotten a makeover.
Liberty Belle is having some minor cosmetic work.
Even the top of the Mad Tea Party is looking a bit brighter these days!
The best way to keep up on all these 50th Anniversary changes is to continue to follow along with MickeyBlog!
We’ll be coming to you LIVE! from the theme parks each and every week!
