Imagineer Shares Look at Flooring for Space 220
We have been waiting sooooo long for Space 220 to open up at EPCOT that we absolutely soak up any new detail about this space-themed table service spot.
We’ve got some new news about work being done to the restaurant itself thanks to Disney Imagineer Zach Riddley!
In the post which we’ll share with you below, Riddley gives us a look at the flooring found in the main dining room! Let’s take a look:

In the photo Riddley simply posits the question, “What flooring goes on a space station 220 miles above Earth” before showing a picture of both carpeting and tile flooring.
Though on it’s own a sneak peek of the flooring of Space 220 may not seem like the most exciting thing in the world. However, when added in with all of the other details that Imagineers have been sharing with use lately, start to see a more comprehensive picture of this beloved eatery.
Just check out this post that Riddley shared with us last week:

As you can see from the video above, Riddley previously shared a first look at the space-elevator that guests will take to go up into the stars for your outer space dining adventure!
One of the really cool things about dining at Space 220 is that the dining room is actually the Centauri Space Station where guests can take a “virtual look” at the Earth while you dine!
Space 220 was fast-tracked to open pre-pandemic but since the COVID shutdown last year, Disney fans have been waiting for news regarding and opening date and reservations. But, some things Disney friends are definitely worth waiting for.
Guests are sure to love this immersive experience from the minute you enter the elevator to the moment you finish! Best of all, Executive Chef Mark Kusche has created a menu brimming with culinary wonders. You’ll be able to enjoy stellar dishes and gourmet recipes with the restaurants two-course prix fixe Lunch Menu and three course prix fixe dinner menu!
We’re also heard a rumor that the eatery will feature unique beverages including wine, cocktails and more!
You bet that this is a story that we’ll continue to follow closely. Readers are encouraged to keep following along with MickeyBlog for more Space 220 news and updates. Also thank you Zach Riddley for being a constant source of awesome Disney info.
