Fanciful Fountain Adds Playfulness to EPCOT’s New Addition
Throughout last week, Walt Disney World cast members celebrated a special preview of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, the new 4D attraction opening at EPCOT in just 38 days. Yesterday. Walt Disney Imagineer Zach Riddley shared a number of incredible details about the whimsical new area bringing Remy’s Paris to life.
As Riddley points out, the incredible new space in the France pavillion is a long-time coming, including five years of development and construction. With so many nuances worked into the space, Riddley plans to share a number of his “favorite details [on Instagram] over the coming weeks as we countdown to grand opening,” according to the post.

Fantastical Fountain Facets
At first glance, the fountain appears to have jumped straight off the streets of Paris. In the details though, it’s easy to spot the subtle nods to the endearing Disney and Pixar film that the area is inspired by.
With an emphasis on stone work and metal that would fit into any parisian street, the incredible gold hue makes an especially eye-catching statement. With “water nozzles finished with bubbling champagne bottles and cute mouse faces” though, this fountain belongs at the center of this “Ratatouille”-themed avenue.
A very similar fountain exists in Walt Disney Studios Paris, where “Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure” debuted in July 2014. Currently in cast member previews, Walt Disney World’s Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure opens to the public on October 1st, the same day that the resort’s 50th anniversary celebration begins.
Over the next few weeks, both Disney Vacation Club members and annual passholders will also have the opportunity to experience the delightful new attraction that shrinks guests down to rat size for one of Remy’s daring adventures. Just last week, Nick from MagicalNewsLive also got a preview. Check out the video here!
