BREAKING: EPCOT Monorail Breaks Down Yesterday and Needs Towed to Magic Kingdom
Yesterday wasn’t such a good day for those on the EPCOT monorail. According to several reports emerging this morning the monorail was filled with people yesterday afternoon when the power went out.
Disney-goer Jeff Cap shared a video yesterday of the incident. According to a caption for the video, the breakdown happened around 1:15pm yesterday afternoon. The orange monorail was on it’s way to the Magic Kingdom when the incident occurred.
In the video you can see fire trucks arriving at the scene and windows being removed from the monorail carriages. Let’s check it out:
Eventually the orange monorail did receive a tow to its destination. Thankfully, according to caps the whole incident was resolved in “several minutes” which meant guests didn’t need to stay in the carriages for too long without air conditioning.
We here at MickeyBlog HQ found the system put in place to tow the monorails to be fascinating!
