New Disney Genie System Will Change How Guests Access the Disability Access Service or DAS Pass
The all-new Disney Genie system has officially been announced! And, if you access the Disney’s Disability Access Service or obtain what is frequently called a DAS pass during your visit, you are going to love the change the Disney Genie is going to bring!
Once the Disney Genie officially launches, Guests will have two options to obtain a DAS Pass including an option to pre-register. These options will be available at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
Pre-Arrival Registration and Planning
When the Disney Genie launches this Fall, Guests will be able to set up a virtual call with a Cast Member as early as 30 days in advance to register for a DAS Pass.
During the video chat, Guests will be able to select up to two experiences per day using the new DAS Advanced Planning option. These selections must be booked at least two days prior to the day you plan to redeem them as you will not be able to make these selections the day of your park visit.
As long as the attraction you looking to seelct is available, you will receive a one-hour return time for the day of your visit. The selections you make will show up in your My Disney Experience account.
Day-Of DAS Pass Self-Selection Tool
Previously, if you were requesting a DAS Pass, you would be required to talk to a Cast Member in person. However, once the new Disney Genie system launches, Guests who are registered in the system will be able to make their return time selections straight from their My Disney Experience app while they are in the parks.
