Disney Cruise Line Confirms Restart of the Disney Fantasy This September with 4-Night Sailings
I have some good and bad news to share this morning when it comes to cruising. Let’s start with the bad news: Disney Cruise Line has just cancelled the Disney Fantasy sailing on September 4, 2021. But, here’s the good news: Disney Cruise Line has confirmed that the Disney Fantasy will resume sailing this September!

The Disney Fantasy will depart Port Canaveral, Florida for the first time in 18 months with paying Guests on September 11, 2021! However, there will be one caveat – the Fantasy will temporarily transition to 4-night sailings vs. the previously scheduled 7-night cruises.

The new Disney Fantasy sail dates for September and some of October 2021 as 4-night cruises are as follows:
- September 11, 2021
- September 18, 2021
- September 25, 2021
- October 2, 2021

In addition to the number of nights changing from seven night to four nights, the itinerary has also changed. These four, 4-night cruises will only make a stop at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay, in the Bahamas.
You might be asking when 7-night cruises on the Disney Fantasy might be returning? As of right now, Disney Cruise Line is planning to offer those once again beginning after the October 2, 2021 4-night cruise.

If you are currently scheduled to cruise on the September 4, 2021 sailing that has been completely cancelled and your reservation has been paid in full, you are eligible to receive a future cruise credit or a full refund. If the cruise has not yet been paid in full, you will receive a refund of the balance you have paid so far.
If your cruise on the Disney Fantasy is one of the ones that has transitioned from a 7-night cruise to a 4-night cruise for this September or October 2, 2021, you will be refunded the difference in the cost of the voyage fare, taxes, fees, port expenses, and Vacation Protection Plan, if purchased. In addition, if you choose to keep your original sail date with the modified itinerary, you will receive a $400 non-refundable onboard credit along with a 25% discount that can go towards most future Disney Cruise Line cruises taken by September 30, 2022.

Those Guests who are booked on the modified 4-night Disney Fantasy sailings in September and October 2, 2021 and choose to cancel their cruise completely, will receive a full refund.
