Beauty and the Beast Live On Stage Is Back and MickeyBlog is There
Oh what a beautiful morning!
Our MickeyBlogger Greg is with Nick at MagicalNewsLIVE! at Disney Hollywood Studios.
As you may have gathered from the images above, today marks the RETURN of Beauty and the Beast.
This stage show is a family favorite.
For those unfamiliar the the stage for Beauty and the Beast is located on Sunset Boulevard near Tower of Terror.
The times are posted for the rest of the day so if you’re at Hollywood Studios today be sure to stop by!
Showtimes for today are 11am, 1pm, 2pm, 4pm and 5pm.
When we arrived to wait in line, the cast member was just arriving with the beautiful red roses which serve as a special surprise for some lucky Belle’s.
It wouldn’t be a Beauty and the Beast show without enchanted roses!
The show is 25 minutes long.
It’s essentially a shortened version of the movie that takes you through some of the key musical numbers from the film.
We were among the first in line this morning.
We had to wait in line for about 30 minutes with the doors opening at 10:30 am.
Its so nice to see the banners for the show back at Hollywood Studios.
The show has been dark since before the pandemic.
The last performance was in March of 2020!
Finally it is time to head up to the ampitheater!
It’s so nice to be back after 17 months!
The ropes are coming down!
We are now able to go up the ramp to the theater.
Cast members as always were wonderful!
Here’s our first look at the amphitheater.
It’s time to find our seats!
A huge shout out to the team for making this premiere absolutely seamless!
Here’s some live footage of us heading to our seats!
We’re finally inside!
No to wait…
Greg and Nick were fortunate in that they had seats toward the front of the amphitheater.
As you can see we managed to get to our seats before the theater started to fill up.
Slowly the crowds are starting to fill up!
We have our sights set on one of these rows closer to the stage!
A quick walk past the sound booth!
The theater looks largely the same!
It was definitely a sight for soar eyes!
However, it wasn’t long before the stadium looked a bit more like this!
There was no social distancing in the theater and it was wall to wall people.
However as you can see from these images people were expected to mask up!
We’ll leave you now as the curtain is about to go up. But, keep following along with us for an update of the show itself!
