ICYMI: Last Night Was Magic Kingdom’s First Boo Bash and MickeyBlog Was There
For those that weren’t following along with us, we had a frightfully delightful evening at the first Disney After Hours Boo Bash which took place last night at the Magic Kingdom Be sure to check out all of our content from yesterday but here’s a quick rec-cap!
Arrival:
Here we are arriving on the scene! One perk of being a Boo Bash ticket holder is that they will let guests in early to experience some Magic Kingdom before the party kicks off.
Day of Tickets:
We’ve been asked a lot about whether there will be any walk-up tickets for those decided to attend the Boo Bash. The answer for this is sort of. Last night’s party was expected to be a sell-out. However, just prior to the festivities (around 7:00 pm) Disney put up signage that tickets were still available. Guests were encouraged to visit City Hall in Town Square for enquiries and to purchase tickets.
You can check out more of the details here.
Happily Ever After Crowds
Party guests for Boo Bash, have the distinct advantage of being able to attend the Happily Ever After fireworks along with day guests before the day quests must leave because of the party. This made for a pretty intense crowd in the Plaza as the fireworks were about to begin.
We’ve got more details here.
MIckey Blog’s Live Stream of the Boo Bash
Our dedicated MickeyBlogger Greg, did a live stream yesterday capture many of Boo Bash’s most magic moments we recommend you check it out here!
A Duo of Delicious Drinks!
There are many many awesome reasons why you’ll want to make Boo Bash party of your Autumn Disney getaway. Key among them is the opportunity to try out some delectable eats and treats ONLY available during this special ticketed event. The first goodies we had a chance to sample last night were the Apple Ginger Dale and Mocha Chocolate Chip at Golden Oak Outpost in Frontierland.
Find out which one was our favorite here.
A Treat Fit For Foolish Mortals
Our foodie tour of Boo Bash continued with a stop at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments in Liberty Square to try out their Foolish Mortals Funnel Cake. This treat has it all: warm funnel cake, cookie crumbles, purple ice cream, whipped cream, caramel topping and a ghoulish mix of M&Ms. You can take a closer look here.
Cadaver Dans
Though entertainment options are limited for this year’s Halloween party, the Cadaver Dans where there to take Frontierland guests through a spooktacular medley of haunting Halloween songs. Favorites intcluded “This is Halloween” and “Cruella de Ville.”
Take a closer look at this undead quartet here.
Mood Lighting
Nothing sets the tone for the frightfully fun Boo Bash festivities quite like the lighting at Cinderella Castle. Throughout the evening, the castle came to life in ominous tones of bright green, midnight blue and dark red. Even the fountain and the surrounding plaza buildings had a Halloween transformation. You’ll want to check out our awesome images here.
Bring on the Character Cavalcades
This year, instead of one big parade, Magic Kingdom is holding several character cavalcades throughout the evening so that you can see your favorite Disney friends all dressed up for the spooky season. The first cavalcade featured members of the Fab5. You can take a closer look at these cuties here.
The Pumpkin King (and Queen) Have Arrived
It certainly wouldn’t be a Magic Kingdom Halloween Celebration without a visit from Jack and Sally. Here they are making their way through the HUB to mingle with there adoring fans. (At a distance of course.) We’ve got more awesome images including some of Oogie Boogie here.
More Devilishly Delightful Treats
After all that excitement, it’s time for another treat! At one of the refreshment carts in the HUB we found these fabulous Maleficent Churros. Find out more about this wickedly wonderful snack here.
Piglet and Eeyore Celebrate from Crystal Palace
With the standard character meet and greets on hiatus, be on the lookout for fun and surprising character moments. Our favorite of the evening was watching Piglet and Eeyore dress in their Halloween Costumes and checking out the festivities from the terrace of Crystal Palace. Piglet was dressed as a fluttering butterfly. And Eeyore? Well, he just about made the saddest clown we’ve ever seen.

Prince John Sucker
The award for best named treat of the night goes to this green apple lemonade slushy complete with ring pop. We found it at Auntie Gravity’s in Tomorrowland. Take a closer look here.
It’s a Dragon!
Before we say good-bye to our awesome night at Boo Bash, we had time for one last cavalcade and BOY! was it a doozy. Check out the villainous experience we had here complete with a visit from a steampunk Maleficent-inspired dragon. It’s EPIC!
