BREAKING NEWS! Dumbo and Timothy in the Fab 50!
Disney Movie Insiders and special guest John Stamos tweeted right from Stamos’s living room this morning, to reveal the next character statue in the Fab 50 anniversary collection at Walt Disney World Resort!
The Fab 50 is a collection of 50 fabulous gold statues featuring some of your favorite Disney friends that will appear across the theme parks in celebration of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary. To build up the excitement, Disney has been unveiling the characters one-at-a-time leading up to the big date!
This morning’s reveal came to us from a Dumbo the Flying Elephant car, located right in the Big Shot star’s living room! The mega-Disney fan announced that Dumbo and his little mouse buddy Timothy are the next addition to the Fab 50 collection!
The gentle giant certainly earned his spot. The original Dumbo was released in 1941 and has since been considered among the greatest animated films of all time. The film was preserved in 2017 in the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress for being “culturally, historically and aesthetically significant”. It was even remade in 2019!
Each character receives a placement on the castle “shelf” once revealed. What a beautiful way to pay tribute to some of the top Disney characters from the last 50 years! As Dumbo and Timothy take their place, we can’t wait to see these beautiful gold figures in person!
