This week’s ‘ask MickeyBlog’ brought us to the Seven Seas Lagoon. More specifically, I asked which transportation vessel the MickeyBlog readers prefer when traveling to Magic Kingdom: the ferry or the monorail. In our largest response to date, you took to the comments section to vote for your pick.

And the overwhelming champion of this round is…the ferry! Actually, most of you said you preferred to take one mode of transportation to Magic Kingdom, and the other back. But for simply getting from the parking lot to Magic Kingdom- the ferry took the first place slot! Let’s look at what our readers had to say about both the ferry and monorail options- their insights might help you make your decision on your next trip over to Magic Kingdom!

Pros: Most folks touted the ferry for its expansive deck space and the ability to move around the vessel while it’s in motion. A few readers pointed out that the ferry’s approach to Magic Kingdom allows for the best views of the Castle and Train Station. Another mentioned that you can’t beat the cooling breeze from Seven Seas Lagoon as you travel towards Magic Kingdom- and I couldn’t agree more!
Cons: No one had any truly negative points about the ferry, only that it is just a boat, while the monorail is a unique option that is so classically Disney.
Monorail
Pros: Kicking it off with the most obvious and coolest pro that countless readers pointed out: the monorail is such a classic, truly original transportation option! Many of you also love the fact that it the monorail actually travels through the Contemporary, and no matter how many times you ride, it always feels like the most magical vessel on earth!
Cons: The biggest common con was how lengthy the monorail lines can get both going to and leaving Magic Kingdom. A few of you also stated that the monorail cars can make you feel claustrophobic when the cars are packed post-fireworks time.
