Trevor Moore, Comedian Known for Work On Disney XD, Passes Away Aged 41
We are saddened to hear of the loss of Trevor Moore, who has passed away this week at the young age of 41.
Moore was an American comedian, writer, director, producer, actor, and musician, born in New Jersey. He was possibly best known for being a co-founding member of the sketch comedy troupe The Whitest Kids U Know, whose series ran on IFC from 2007-2011.
Moore was also famed for his work with Disney, in creating popular shows for Disney Channel and Disney XD. He created and produced the comedy-prank series Walk the Prank, which spanned three seasons and sixty episodes on Disney XD from 2016-2018.
Moore also co-created the Disney Channel family improvisation comedy series Just Roll with It, which premiered in 2019 and is still airing today.
Moore is also credited with writing, composing and producing this show, which has the hilarious and unique premise of having the actors break character throughout the episode to have their next moves decided by a live studio audience (hence the title, they ‘just roll with it!).
Moore’s passing was confirmed by his manager, in the following statement on behalf of Moore’s wife Aimee Carlson, and printed by The Hollywood Reporter:
“We are devastated by the loss of my husband, best friend and the father of our son. He was known as a writer and comedian to millions, and yet to us he was simply the center of our whole world. We don’t know how we’ll go on without him, but we’re thankful for the memories we do have that will stay with us forever. We appreciate the outpouring of love and support we have received from everyone. This is a tragic and sudden loss and we ask that you please respect our privacy during this time of grieving.”
We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Trevor Moore, and send our condolences to his loved ones at this difficult time.
