August D23 Issue Celebrates 50 Years of Magic
Less than two months remain before “the most magical celebration on Earth” begins at the Walt Disney World Resort. It certainly makes sense that this month’s issue of Disney twenty-three celebrates the long-awaited 50th anniversary celebration.
The publication, which releases monthly to D23 Gold Members, highlights new decor, entertainment and entertainment. Yesterday, the publications surprised fan club members with the news that the new issue will also feature “bonus” chapter.

The bonus pages will offer readers a preview of the upcoming collectible book, A Portrait of Walt Disney World: 50 Years of the Most Magical Place on Earth. Authored by Kevin Kern, Tim O’Day and Steven Vagnini, the new release traces the history of Walt Disney World from its early years until now. Fabiola Garza illustrated the text, which featuers a foreward by Walt Disney Co. CEO Bob Chapek.
With cover images shot exclusively for the magazine, the issue promises to provide details on the fireworks spectacular, HarmoniUS, which debuts at EPCOT on October 1st.
Twenty pages of the periodically will share new details about not only the spectacular new entertainment but also exciting attractions coming to the resort in celebration of the big anniversary. Specifically, readers will get a deep dive into Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure located in the France Pavillion at EPCOT. The ride opens October 1st for guests and begins previews next month for cast members, annual passholders, and Disney Vacation Club members.

Moving from the anniversary, the new issues also previews Halloween programming coming to Disney+. Exclusive interviews with multiple Marvel stars also celebrate two enormous Marvel Studios releases coming this fall: “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” and “Eternals.”
