Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney World Has Reopened and MickeyBlog is There!
What a day of wonderful Disney firsts!
This afternoon we here at MickeyBlog came to you LIVE! from Magic Kingdom where were were among the first guests to experience Monsters Inc Laugh floor which has reopened for the first time since the COVID-19 shutdown.
And now Greg and Elyssa have just finished up a delectable dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse which officially opened for dinner today!
It was all hands on deck as the cast members readied the restaurant.
When it was time to reopen, all of the cast members gathered around the entrance for a ribbon cutting ceremony!
Look at all of those smiling faces!
It really set the tone for a wonderful evening and made us excited to be back!
We managed to capture the ribbon cutting ceremony on film where it’s sure to give you the warm fuzzies!
Next it was time to check in!
It goes without saying that the cast members at the Yachtsman were welcoming and wonderful.
All checked in!
I think they found a table for us!
And it’s into the dining room we go!
The restaurant itself looked as beautiful as ever.
We love all of the nautical touches!
Including the compass design in the carpeting.
And of course the beautiful bay window!
The dining rooms look immaculate. We didn’t notice any major chances to this Yacht a7 Beach Club eatery. .
The serving areas were so well organized and our meal from start to finish was seamless!
The smells coming from the open kitchen area definitely had our mouths watering!
And we got more warm greetings from the team!
Previously we’ve shared a complete rundown of the menu options with you as found on disneyworld.com.
Everything here looks pretty similar to what’s listed on the website.
The first thing that arrived at our table was a bread service.
Include was a onion roll and cherry filled wheat bread! These items were warm and delicious!
Above is a look at the steakhouse wedge salad. It is served with Candied Bacon, Farmhouse Eggs, Radish and Smokey Blue Cheese Vinaigrette.
Here’s a look at one of our favorite appetizers. This French Onion Soup is served with a Sourdough Crouton and Gruyere Cheese.
Here’s a look at the three steak dishes on offer: New York Strip
Ribeye and Fillet, each cooked to perfection!
There’s also a fantastic list of after dinner drinks to conclude your meal!
Above is the Yachtman’s take on a Strawberry Shortcake. It is served with Macerated Florida Strawberries, Vanilla Bean Shortcake, Chantilly Cream and Strawberry Gelato!
The Creme Brulee was divine and featured pickled local blueberries, orange and Candied Meyer Lemon!
The stunning treat above is the Pineapple Coconut Tart. This treat is made up of Roasted Pineapple Curd, Coconut Crema, Sable Cookie Crunch and Cherry Gelee (Plant-based.)
But the real showstopper of a dessert for us was the Yachtsman Chocolate Cake.
This goodie serves two people. You can see what’s inside in our wee video below.
The cake is made up of Dark Chocolate Mousse, Chocolate Decadence Cake, Mixed Berry Curd, Peanut Butter Crunch and Mousse.
What an absolutely perfect ending to a perfect meal!
