Magic Kingdom Fall Transformation Continues As Pumpkins Arrive on Main Street U.S.A
Spooky season is upon us! Yesterday, beautiful tidings of golds, browns, and oranges went up in the Magic Kingdom, signifying the arrival of fall. Today, we were excited to see that an array of fun pumpkins have sprouted up around Main Street U.S.A too, so let’s grab our candy bags and go and take a closer look…
As you can see, a fun family of jack-o-lanterns are guarding City Hall. They look a bit like fall gargoyles, don’t you agree?
The Fire Station is also dotted with pumpkins, including a carving of Lucky from 101 Dalmatians. I’m particularly enjoying the pumpkin which resembles the sign for the restroom – how thematic!
There are goofy-looking lanterns…
…evil-looking lanterns…
…mother-and-baby-looking lanterns…
…corny-looking lanterns…
…and lanterns which look vaguely familiar?
The first of the upcoming ‘Boo Bash’ events are set to begin in the Magic Kingdom from next week, so we aren’t surprised to see Halloween decor going up in the parks this early in the year. The ticketed, after-hours events will take place on select days from August 8th through October 31st. Tickets are selling fast, though, so make sure you grab those soon if you don’t want to miss out on all the frightful fun!
These lanterns almost look like they should be having a tea party!
Main Street Confectionery is also dressed for fall, reminding us that the store will no doubt be filled with Pumpkin Spiced treats any day now. I’m thinking popcorn, cupcakes and, of course, martinis.
I love these ice-cream pumpkins over at the Plaza!
The Casey’s Corner pumpkins are also very on-brand, portraying carvings of a hotdog, peanuts, fries, and a baseball.
It’s a gloomy morning in Magic Kingdom, but the arrival of these pumpkins sure does put a smile on our faces.
Are you in the Halloween spirit yet? If so, have you seen the new character costumes which landed on shopDisney this week? We also got a preview of some of the Halloween merchandise which will be available in the parks.
