BREAKING: Fall Decor Transforms Magic Kindgom
Perhaps, the Grim Grinning Ghosts lent a hand last night to Magic Kingdom cast members at Walt Disney World as they began to decorate Main Street U.S.A. and the hub for this fall’s celebrations at the theme park.
Our MickeyBloggers headed there bright and early this morning to catch some of the first glimpses of this year’s colorful celebration.
Deep orange, bright yellow, and a rich seasonal brown compose the layers of the bunting that sweep across many rooflines and door frames.
The must-do merchandise stop, The Emporium, brought the largest pop of fall hues with decor hanging from the vast majority of balconies and windows that line the incredible shop.
We expected decorations for the much-anticipated season to arrive any day. After all, the countdown continues to click down for the first Disney After Hours Boo Bash event.
The new ticketed event gives guests three magical hours at enjoy the Magic Kingdom with speciality treats, character sightings, and cavalcades.
In a throwback to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, Boo Bash guests also get the chance to Trick-or-Treat throughout the Magic Kingdom.
Boo Bash begins August 10th with events offered on select nights from then until the penultimate date: Halloween night. Many nights are sold out, but select tickets remain in August and September.

Meanwhile, construction continues The Confectionery, the popular sweets establishment that welcomes guests to the park. Right now, we hope to see this delicious stop reopen in the first few days of the 50th anniversary celebration, which kicks off October 1st.
As always, make sure snag all of those buttons for your own celebrations at the Walt Disney World Resort. While in Magic Kingdom, you can grab those at City Hall, which also appears ready for the autumnal season with buntings throughout its entrance.
If you are looking for a stellar spot to catch a wave from Mickey and friends, this area also makes for a great spot to catch the calvalcades as they traverse Main Street each day.
Magic Kingdom guests this week get two special treats: a first look at the new decor and the reopening of a popular favorite quick-service eatery, the Columbia Harbour House. The popular dining location reopens on Thursday. For now, grab some Southern-themed favorites at Crystal Palace.
