Let’s Check In On the Baby Gorilla at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
If you were following along with us last month you’ll know that Disney’s Animal Kingdom recently celebrated the new arrival of a healthy lowland gorilla
Disney shared some initial images of mom Aziz with her newborn and we are pleased to let our readers know that you can already see mom and baby on the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail at Animal Kingdom.
One of our MickeyTravel’s agents Ashley Grissom was at Animal Kingdom this weekend and managed to capture some adorable pictures and videos of mom and baby near the viewing area.
Its hard to see from some of these images but mom is keeping baby in the crook of her arm as she grazes in the field.
Right now baby stays nestled close to mom who is currently guarding her newborn from the other gorillas.
If you look closely you can see the newborn comfortably resting in Aziz’s arm.
Ashley took a few videos where you can see the pair a bit more closely.
We love how effortlessly Aziz holds her little one while she goes about her day-to-day.
This little gorilla is absolutely as cute as can be.
During our Animal Kingdom visit, mom and baby kept themselves apart from the other gorillas.
However, Disney has previously told us that baby is actually part of a family comprised Aziz dad Gino, and a brother Cory which was born back in 2014.
Even though baby gorilla looks teeny tiny just now, it won’t be long be it will be roughhousing with its brother at Gorilla Falls.
During your visit to Animal Kingdom we recommend that you take some time out from the rides and pop round to the Exploration Trail to see how mom and baby are doing.
It truly is a unique sight that many don’t get the chance to experience.
And while you’re there, be sure to tell Aziz that she’s doing an amazing job looking after her little one. We are so proud of her.
