Ask MickeyBlog: Sci-Fi vs. Prime Time, the Results are In!
We asked, and YOU determined the ultimate winner in our first ever “Ask MickeyBlog” showdown! Yesterday, we were debating the pros and cons of Hollywood Studios’ two premier restaurants and asked you all to weigh in to help us determine the winner!
After tallying more than 100 votes, the winner is (drumroll please)….The Sci-Fi! However, Prime Time’s biggest fans made some great points to defend their favorite restaurants. Here is what our readers pointed out about the Prime Time:
Prime Time
Pros: The food quality is better than the Sci-Fi and the ability to talk over dinner with your party is an experience you won’t get at the Sci-Fi given its unique seating arrangement. Our readers definitely like the 1950’s era themeing throughout the restaurant. A few even noted how much fun they had with the quirky Cast Members during their meal!
Cons: On the contrary, many (many) readers find the wait staff at Prime Time to be annoying and intrusive on their meals. Some also noted the dinner experience here felt rushed by the wait staff.
Sci-Fi
Pros: Hands-down, the main reason most of you picked the Sci-Fi over the Prime Time is for the theming. Parents pointed out how much kids love this place too! The food is approachable and the experience of eating in a car at an old-school drive in theatre is what sets Sci-Fi ahead of Prime Time for most of you! Finally, the immersion created by the drive-in set-up was described as one reader as ‘an experience you won’t get anywhere else nowadays’.
Cons: The biggest trend against Sci-Fi was their lackluster food. Many of you didn’t love your meals there, and only a few said the atmosphere made up for it. Another con was that the seating set up makes it impossible to talk to everyone in your party during meal time.
