New Healthy Princess Cookbook Debuts in August
With so many kids getting into the kitchen, the new “Disney Princess Healthy Treats” from Insight Editions could not release at a better time.
The cookbook takes cues from a variety of Disney leading ladies with a range of recipes from snacks to desserts. For those with an eye on healthy choices though, each recipe makes sure to keep healthy eating principals in mind. They even incorporate some unexpected fruit and vegetables.
Authored by Ariane Resnick, the collection introduces aspiring chefs to cultures and whimsical themes associated with a wealth of Disney heroines, including Rapunzel, Tiana, Pocahontas, Moana, and Mulan.
The Magic Carpet flatbreads add touches of cumin and even saffron to introduce new flavors alongside its salty tapenade topping.
Mulan’s tea eggs add an Asian flair to a traditional British breakfast with the unique sweetness of tamari and clever addition of five-spice powder.
Cranachan, a traditional Scottish dessert, offers a gluten free, vegan and healthy way to celebrate the end of the meal (or even the beginning of the day). The berry Greek yogurt substitute certainly adds to the appeal of this treat as a stellar way to start a day.
For those looking for a scrumptious milk alternative, Snow White Chocolate teaches young bakers how to whip up their own batch of cashew-based milk for a nutty take on a classic. The recipes offer alternatives throughout the book, which also introduces young chefs to kitchen safety and common baking pitfalls to avoid.
Other Sinister Delights
Insight Editions also recently published their first villains-themed cookbook, “Disney Villains Devlishly Delicious Cookbook,” which is out now.
For fans of “Nightmare Before Christmas,” head over to your favorite book retailer at the end of August to pick up this made-for-Pinterest offering, also from Insight Editions. The book released on August 31st with a certainly opposite take than the princess-themed delicacies.
“Disney Princess Healthy Treats” is available for pre-order now on Amazon. The 128-page book retails for $16.99 and debuts August 31, 2021.
