After Two Days of Running EPCOT Monorail is Down For the Day
Here at MickeyBlog, we recently had the excitement of sharing with the first journey on the newly reopened EPCOT monorail.
The monorail opened this weekend after being closed since March of 2020. We did a live stream of the momentous occasion which you can find here.
However, uur MickeyBloggers are back at EPCOT this afternoon where we are confronted with all-too-familiar sight of the Monorail platform being blocked off.
The sign at the monorail entrance advises that the monorail line is closed at this time and guests should instead use bus transportation.
Everything at the station was looking pretty quiet and no trains were passing through.
We spoke to some cast members at the station who said they weren’t sure when the monorail would return.
The advised that the trains haven’t been running all day.
No word yet on whether this is just routine maintenance and the monorail will be back up and running tomorrow or whether the closure will be a lengthy one.
In the meantime those looking to visit EPCOT should plan for alternate forms of transportation.
This is s a story that we’ll continue to follow closely here at MickeyBlog.
